Early in the morning

When I first arrived in Finland it took me a few days to get over jet lag. I decided to make the most out of it so I got up, took my camera and went out for a walk. 5 o'clock in the morning is a most beautiful time. The light is almost magic, and it is just you and the birds. I succeeded in getting a few really nice shots, so I decided to share my favourites with you today.

Everything is so beautifully still early in the mornings. The colours are crisp and enhanced.

I wonder if I should name this picture 'headless gull'.

Black-headed gull. No summer is complete without the cries of these small gulls.

Who could have resisted taking a pic of these small down balls. They were totally unafraid of me, and I was able to come very close. I sat down beside them and watched them for a while.
